Catching Up

I have been slack, I know. Things have been busy over here, so I'll just post a few pictures of the last two or so weeks.

A family photo after the All Star game. John and my brother Jared enjoyed the Home Run Derby the night before.Still at the All Star Game. Abby went with us, so it was a bit hard for me to concentrate on the game, but it was still a great night! William stayed with his friends across the street (SO thankful to have such great neighbors!).

The kids (and Jared, too!) had fun playing with the water table Uncle Andy and Aunt Gina gave William for an early birthday gift.

The kids had tea on their picnic table.

Uncle Jay grilled brats one night (thanks SO much!).

I don't remember exactly why she was sound asleep on Jared, but it sure is a cute shot!

We are praising God that Grandpa's eye bubble is GONE from his eye! Because it's gone, he and Grandma were able to come up to see our new house and spend time with us and the kids.

William LOVED playing ball with Grandpa. Grandpa would hit the ball and William would be the designated runner and run in circles, er, I mean run the bases!

William, getting some lovin' from Grandma.

I'm adding this picture simply because I thought it was cute.

Grandma would put the diaper on Abby's head and Abby would fling it off, laughing.

1st Steps!

Abby decided to take her first steps on her 1st birthday! She was a bit cranky when this was taken, simply because she had walked a bit earlier, before we got the camera going.

Big thanks to Uncle Jay for capturing The Moment on video!

Happy 1st Birthday!

It's Abby's 1st birthday today! Boy, the year has flown by. Clique, I know, but oh so true.

It seems like yesterday that I was reading John's note on the table, ordering me to go to the doctor to check on the contractions which I had previously insisted where "nothing".

It seems like yesterday that I was crying on the phone to my mom, telling her that I was driving myself to the hospital because the contractions were actually labor.

It seems like yesterday that the nurses and doctors and neonatologists and perinatologists were gearing up for our daughter's very premature birth.

And yes, I can remember it like yesterday, hearing her scream the moment she was born. Wow. That was the most beautiful noise ever.

We celebrated her birthday a few days ago with a little party with family and friends. She completely got into the whole "cake thing", digging in with both hands.

Chatting it up with one of her peeps.

We tried to get a group shot, but...the kids had other ideas. I guess since it's her party she can cry if she wants to! After getting out of the pool she was much better...I think there was just too much going on for her!

Happy 1st birthday my sweet girl!

Bouncer

This is the third item I received from Infantino in that wonderfully huge box a day before we moved. This bouncy is quite different from the one I already have. First, I have to say that I love the neutral color. For those of you who have seen my bouncy know that it is bright red, blue and well, many other colors. You can really notice it's presence. But not this one. This one blends in nicely and doesn't stick out. I like that. Second, it's portable. It folds beautifully. I gave it to my friend to use, so we'll see how she likes it when it comes to traveling. I just know that my bouncy doesn't fold at all, so it always stayed home. I'll be adding pictures of an actual child in the bouncy. Abby would have none of it (she never really used our existing bouncy due to the fact that she didn't like being in one spot!) so we'll see how my friend's kids liked it.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Infantino and have received various Infantino products for my participation.

Managing Heat

It's been hot here. Very hot. I mean in the hundreds hot. So, not being able to find our air pump, I blew up the pool BY MOUTH and the kids had a blast.

I couldn't get Abigail out of the pool, she was having so much fun.
