Mother's Day

With my kiddo snuggled in his bed for the night I'm finally able to sit and write a little "memoir" of my first Mother's Day...I vividly remember my first "Mother-To-Be" Day, wearing a bright red maternity dress, standing on the porch steps with a huge belly. 4 months later (to the day!) our son entered the world and I was instantly given the title "Mommy". What an awesome undertaking it has been so far; I wouldn't trade my title in for anything! I'm still trying to be the Proverbs 31 Mom..."She gets up while it is still dark and provides food for her family..." Oh man! I have a long way to go! I'm up while it's still dark, but I'm furiously nursing, trying to get my little one to go back to sleep, so I can get another hour of shut-eye. My days are filled now with trying to keep up with a crawling 8 month old; he keeps me on my toes. I have 2 wonderful Mothers in my life and my hat goes off to both of them for the hard job they completed.
May MY son grow up and call me blessed!

Congrats on your first Mother's Day, Leah! You and John are soooo wonderful with William...I couldn't ask for better parents for my sweet little nephew!

God bless you all, as he continues to grow, develop, and explore the world around him. What a "new adventure" each day must be, as William learns to crawl, find his voice, and experience the 'great big world'.

You have been given a wonderful gift, and the love you have for William is so evident. You are GREAT Christian parents!

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Thanks honey, for such a wonderful comment. Yes, being a mother certainly is not an easy job, but through the grace of God, He will see you through your joys & disappointments. Even as grandmother now (could that really be so???) my task isn't finished! What a joy to see my daughter (& son-in-law)using God's Word as her/their guide in raising our grandson. May God bless your faithful efforts.
Love ya all!

What a wonderful Christian "MOM" you are!! The presence of the Lord surely shows in your life and home.
William is a very lucky baby to have two Christian parents in his life that live by the Bible! Enjoy "each" and every day with that li'l guy...

Love you,
"Mom" A
