I've never been to the LA Zoo before, so last minute I called my friend and asked if she wanted to go with us. The weather looked like it was going to be overcast and cool(er) so I thought it would be the best time to go. While the weather was cooler than norm, it wasn't very overcast. There was a nice breeze, however, so that saved us from completely overheating. After about 45 minutes we were completely exhausted (okay, "I" was completely exhausted!) and needed to eat.
I think my favorite exhibit was the gorilla exhibit. They were very active, and there were lots of them to look at. Due to hot weather, crowds, and increasingly tired tots, we really didn't see the entire zoo (we decided that with kids it would take at least 2 days to get through).
This was another kid favorite! William would run under the misters then run back to me saying "wa wa". He thought it was pretty funny!
